Day 24: Mindful Christmas.
Welcome to the last day of this mindfulness Advent calendar. How about bringing in some mindfulness to all the Christmas food this year? Whenever you eat something the next time make sure you sit down and don’t have any distractions (TV, books, your phone…). Don’t start eating right away and take a moment to remember everything and everyone that was necessary to make your meal possible (sunlight, soil, rain, farmers, employees from all the distributors, the person who put it in the shelves of your supermarket etc.). Can you let a feeling of gratefulness spread? Can you feel all the energy in your food that will nourish you? Take a close look at your food without thinking about it. What shapes and colours can you see? Bring a first bite to your nose and smell the food mindfully, before taking it in…
